Conch Shell drawing by Dawn Rodger
Queen Conch Shell

A small drawing of a large battered old conch shell that has occupied a spot in every house I've lived in. It’s drawn using Polychromos pencil on 360 gsm Pastelmat paper. I have deliberately drawn it resting in a different position to how it usually sits to let me see this familiar object with fresh eyes. It holds connotations of childhood family holidays.

Medium/size: Polychromos pencil on Pastelmat paper 6x8"
