An enchanting oil painting of a female figure amongst the myriad of nature’s wintry colours. The starlings are pulled to her presence from the airy acrobatics of their swirling murmuration. I have drawn inspiration from Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope” is the Thing with feathers.

That perches in the soul -
And sings the tunes without the words -
And never stops - at all -
