A coastal landscape using high quality oil paints on stretched cotton canvas depicting the hush of a misty morning on an empty beach that promises a beautiful summer’s day viewed from amid the dune grasses. The colours in the light that reflects from the shimmering sand and water are a lifelong preoccupation of mine. I have tried to capture the feelings of serenity and calmness that such scenes hold through thin glazes and thicker passages of impasto paint.
